- Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening and again on Friday over the Permian Basin, Trans Pecos, Davis Mountains, Marfa Plateau and Big Bend region as an upper level low slowly moves westward over the region. Localized rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches with isolated amounts over 4 inches will be possible with the heaviest showers and thunderstorms that develop. Heavy rainfall over a short period of time may result in flash flooding.
