LOCALISED FLOODING CONTINUING INTO WEDNESDAY Tropical Cyclone Fina crossed the north Kimberley coast at 9:30pm AWST Monday, and is now slow moving just inland of the northeast Kimberley coast near the Berkeley River Mouth. Fina is expected to weaken further today while slowly moving inland. Moderate to heavy rain is most likely during the remainder of Tuesday over the west coast, then gradually contracting southwards, though may occur in bands of rain away from the cyclone. Most of the North West and Bonaparte coastal river catchments are wet to saturated from recent rainfall and storms. Showers and isolated rainfall totals have been recorded during last 24 hours to 9:00 AM Tuesday over the Flood Watch area. Significant rises in creeks and rivers and areas of flooding are occurring throughout the Flood Watch area across the next few days. Renewed river and creek level rises are possible with forecast rainfall over the Flood Watch area. Roads may become impassable and some communities and homesteads may become isolated.
