THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 207 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NORTH CAROLINA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA BLADEN ROBESON IN SOUTH CAROLINA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA DARLINGTON DILLON FLORENCE MARION MARLBORO THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BENNETTSVILLE, BLADENBORO, DARLINGTON, DILLON, ELIZABETHTOWN, FLORENCE, HARTSVILLE, LUMBERTON, MARION, MCCOLL, MULLINS, AND NORTH HARTSVILLE.

WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

WHERE: A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the following county, Robeson.

WHEN: Until 930 PM EDT.

IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 647 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Lumberton, Pembroke, Robeson Community College, Hestertown, Barker Ten Mile, Howellsville, Elrod, Prospect, Smiths, Raemon and Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
