These temperatures will contract to the Carpentaria and eastern Top End over the coming days as slightly milder temperatures extend across southern NT during Wednesday and Thursday. Severe heatwave conditions are expected to peak over the Arnhem and Carpentaria districts in the coming days, before easing over the weekend. Severe heatwave conditions have eased over southern districts, however low intensity heatwave conditions may linger over parts of the Barkly district for the next few days.
