Strong southerly winds of more than 25 knots (12.9 m/s) being experienced over the North-eastern, North-western, South-eastern lowlands and Coastal regions of Kenya on Friday, 13 June 2025 are expected to strengthen to more than 30 knots (15.4 m/s) from Saturday, 14 June 2025 to Tuesday, 17 June 2025. Wind speeds are likely to reduce to 25 knots (12.9 m/s) on Wednesday 18 June 2025.
People in all the mentioned areas are advised to be on the lookout for potential gale (very strong winds) and large waves over the Indian Ocean. Strong winds may uproot trees, blow off roofs and cause structural damage.
