Официални обяснения на предупрежденията:

SIGNIFICANT RISES IN CREEKS AND RIVERS OCCURRING OR LIKELY ACROSS THE WEEKEND Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina is moving west southwest across the Van Diemen Gulf and is expected to pass north of Darwin later today. After passing Darwin, Fina is forecast to maintain severe tropical cyclone intensity on Sunday or early Monday as it moves through the southern Timor Sea, and then start weakening during Monday or Tuesday near the Kimberley coast.. Most of the North West Coastal Rivers catchments are becoming saturated from the recent showers and storms. Widespread daily rainfall totals over the Flood Watch area during Saturday and Sunday are likely to be between 30-130 mm, with isolated totals of 200-300 mm possible near the path of the cyclone. Significant rises in creeks and rivers and areas of flooding are occurring or likely throughout the Flood Watch area across the weekend. Many roads may become impassable and some communities and homesteads may become isolated. A Tropical Cyclone Advice and the associated Forecast Track Map remain current.
