At 631 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

IMPACT,Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
- Some locations that will experience flash flooding include, Montgomery, Dacus and Dobbin.
Rainfall from the previous day resulted in high water along FM 1097, with portions of the roadway along the northeast side of Montgomery washing out. High water was also reported at FM 149 at Little Lake Creek and Lawson Street at Liberty Street. Additional rainfall may exasperate flooding issues at these locations.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
At 739 AM CDT, Mesonet sensors indicated gusty winds to 40 mph in an area of stratiform showers trailing behind a line of strong thunderstorms. Even as this stronger line of thunderstorms passes, gusty winds will linger in its wake.
