meteoblue apps now with widget - for Android and iOS

Posted on by julia.behlinger (meteoblue)

The new widget was on the top of the wishlist of iOS and Android app users and shows the current weather, as well as a 5-day forecast at a glance.

The widget shows a weather icon, the minimum and maximum temperature, wind speed and direction as well as the precipitation quantity for each day. You can set the widget for a fixed or for your current location. Thereby, you have the most up-to-date weather for the selected location always on your home screen. The widget is offered as part of the in-app subscription for 0.99 EUR/year, which also gives you the ad-free version.

We hope you enjoy the long-awaited feature and appreciate further suggestions.

The meteoblue app is availble on Google Play and in the AppStore.

It's nice to have this in the app, thanks! However, as a subscriber of Point+ paying 45€/year, I find it a bit petty to be requested to pay one extra euro per year to get this feature.

Dear user: we understand your concern, but have no solution. The AppStore and Playstore do not pass us any user information, so meteoblue can not recognise your App purchase. We hope you understand.

Well, certainly apps like ALltrails and GaiaGPS on Android and iOS have found a way for a single web and app login that shares purchased featres.
