Enhanced remote sensing functions

meteoblue upgrades radar and satellite offers

We further increased the quality of two of our most popular weather maps - satellite and radar.

Being the first
to offer a global high resolution satellite composite, our satellite images display most of the actual clouds. High clouds and clouds with vertical development are displayed in white, low clouds and fog in grey.

On mobile devices, we have now made the view four times as sharp as before - you can now see each cirrus and the height of cumulus clouds on the images - as well as the snow in New York.

The improved radar for North America also shows you precipitation in steps of 10 minutes, with a 1 hour ahead radar nowcasting using vector motion tracking to extrapolate movement of precipitation fields in the radar images.

Norway is also now covered by a newly added radar. So, if you live in Norway, or if you are planning a visit to this beautiful country, you can take advantage of this new function provided by meteoblue.
