meteoblue supports the NGO SAT

Our weather data has a wide range of applications. Here, we show how point+ supports the work of the NGO.

The SAT Weather and Climate Monitoring Centre was founded as separate groups covering different areas of Santa Fe, Argentina, in 2012. In 2018/2019, these groups decided to unite as one big group covering the whole province.

The meteoblue data builds the basis for weather forecast reports delivered to the population for the next 2, 7 and 14 days. They include meteograms, precipitation maps and temperature maps. Additionally, the MultiModel gives a quick overview of the different forecast models. They have chosen meteoblue as a weather data provider because of the proven accuracy and wide variety of services.

In addition, SAT provides a special report for agricultural producers, as they depend on the expected weather conditions. For this report specifically, the meteogram AGRO and spraying windows are used, which are part of our point+ website subscription.

In addition, short-term warnings e.g. when storms occur that may affect populated areas with wind, hail, electrical activity, or heavy rains, are issued. Moreover, a biannual report on rainfall forecasts (the area is highly affected by the El Niño phenomenon) is provided.

As the SAT Weather and Climate Monitoring Centre is a non-profit organisation. The weather information is delivered free of charge to ensure the population’s security. Millions of people receive these reports via WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, and mass media such as radio, news portals and even television distribute them.

With our weather data, we are happy to support such important organisations in their daily work!
