HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.0 m: The northern seaboard of Batanes Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK QUEENIE will continue decelerating while moving north northwestward in the next 12 hours then turn north northeastward by tomorrow (27 September) morning. On the forecast track, the center of QUEENIE will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow afternoon and evening. Outside the PAR, it will accelerate northeastward towards the sea east of mainland Japan. This tropical cyclone will likely intensify into a typhoon this evening or tomorrow and will strengthen further while moving over the sea south of Okinawa Islands. After reaching peak intensity, QUEENIE will begin to weaken by Monday (28 September).
