A period of strong south winds gusting up to 55 mph will continue moving across parts of central North Dakota tonight. The winds are being caused by nearby thunderstorms, but are occurring away from the storms themselves, and may be accompanied by little to no rain. The winds may increase quickly at your location and remain strong for up to an hour before weakening. The strong winds may cause difficult driving conditions, especially for high profile vehicles. The winds may also result in downed tree branches, and will blow around objects that are not secured.
