San Juan River At Farmington affecting San Juan County.

WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

WHERE: San Juan River at Farmington.

WHEN: From this morning to Tuesday afternoon.

IMPACTS: At 8.5 feet, Overbank flow is occurring from just below the confluence of the Animas and San Juan Rivers at Farmington, and continuing downriver through Shiprock. At this water level, the fast flow can result in river bank erosion but otherwise minor flood damage.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 11:00 AM MDT Saturday the stage was 3.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast: The river is expected to rise to 7.3 feet Monday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Action stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
