The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa

Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Webster, Boone and Hamilton Counties.

East Fork Des Moines River at Dakota City affecting Humboldt County.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: The Des Moines River near Stratford, or from the Boone River to near the City of Boone.

  • WHEN: From Sunday evening until further notice.

  • IMPACTS: At 18.8 feet, Water affects the 400 block of Juniper Rd,west of Fraser. Water also affects the 1100 block of 155th St,east of Fraser. At 19.0 feet, Water affects 157th St on the west side of Fraser.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue rising to a crest of 24.5 feet early Thursday morning.
    • Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
