  • WHEN: From 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening to 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ Wednesday.

  • IMPACTS: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Dense fog will develop tonight as the low levels cool and ample moisture remains in place, along with light winds off of the remaining snowpack and cold waters of the Great Lakes.

Significant snowpack remains over the northern and eastern U.P. Temperatures well above freezing and higher humidity will continue to increase snowmelt. Over the south-central U.P. snowpack had eroded but rivers, streams, creeks, and low laying areas remained high or full. Additional showers and a few thunderstorms are possible Wednesday night.

  • WHAT: Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible.

  • WHERE: Portions of central Upper and western Upper Michigan, including the following areas, in central Upper Michigan, Alger, Baraga, Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Luce, Marquette, Menominee, Northern Schoolcraft and Southern Schoolcraft. In western Upper Michigan, Keweenaw, Northern Houghton and Southern Houghton.

  • WHEN: Through late Thursday night.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
