Little Sioux River near Montgomery affecting Dickinson County.

Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County.

Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay County.

Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.

Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Buena Vista, Cherokee, O'Brien and Clay Counties.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Little Sioux River at Cherokee.

  • WHEN: From Friday morning until further notice.

  • IMPACTS: At 18.0 feet, Cherokee city park begins to flood on the south bank of the river.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 7:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Friday morning and continue rising to a crest of 17.8 feet Saturday evening.
    • Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
