- Scattered thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and early evening produced 1 to 2 inches of rain with localized amounts to 3 inches. Moderate to locally heavy rains over eastern NY into the waters east of New Jersey were forecast to move northward this morning and continue into the afternoon, which will raise the risk for street flooding and cause rises on streams and creeks.
