  • WHAT: South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts between 45 and 55 mph expected.

  • WHERE: All of northern New York and most of Vermont outside of Orange and eastern Windsor counties.

  • WHEN: From 8 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.

  • IMPACTS: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down with isolated to scattered power outages possible.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The strongest winds will be between 9 AM and 1 PM, especially in the northern Champlain Valley and northern slopes of the Adirondacks, with another round of strong winds in northern New York between 3 PM and 8 PM. Fully leafed out trees will result in more tree damage than with similar wind speeds during the colder months of the year.
