At 557 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5 miles southwest of Dougherty, or 14 miles southeast of Floydada. Additional strong storms were located about 5 miles north of Dougherty and near Floydada. The thunderstorms were nearly stationary.
