Eastern Alaska Range South of Trims Camp-Northern Denali Borough-Southern Denali Borough-Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp

A front is expected to move westward over the state throughout the beginning of this week. As this front progresses, we are expecting widespread rain showers and thunderstorms to begin Tuesday morning for the eastern Alaska Range and spread west by Tuesday afternoon during the time of heaviest rainfall with totals as high as 1" or more in some locations. Heavy rain may result in rapid rising waters along rivers/streams coming out of the Alaska Range over the Tanana Valley. However, flooding is not expected due to the dry antecedent conditions. If you are partaking in any recreational activities, please remain weather aware. We will continue to keep you updated if more information becomes available.
