- Widespread heavy rainfall over the last week has led to very saturated ground, excessive runoff, and rising rivers and streams across the area. Locally heavy moderate to heavy rainfall potential will exist with widespread showers and storms that occur across the area today. Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches will be possible, with locally higher amounts leading to both flash flooding and mainstem river flooding concerns.
