  • TIMING: From 10 AM Saturday to 10 PM AKDT Sunday. The primary threat periods will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. RH values will recover overnight Saturday into Sunday.

  • WINDS: South 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

  • HUMIDITY: As low as 20 percent Saturday afternoon and again Sunday afternoon. RH values should recover into the 40 to 50 percent range Saturday night.

  • TEMPERATURES: Highs in the lower 60s. Lows in the upper 30s.

  • IMPACTS: Critical fire weather conditions are expected this weekend due to a combination of low relative humidity, gusty winds, and dry fuels. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.
