Official warning explanations:
Another band of rain and snow will develop over the Eastern Interior this morning and continue through the evening. This will bring 2 to 4 inches of snow to higher elevations and along the Steese Highway north of Fairbanks. For valley locations including Fairbanks mostly rain is expected but there could be a change over to snow this evening. Little to no snow accumulation expected in valley locations.
