QUEENIE will generally move west northwestward until this afternoon before moving northwestward tomorrow (26 September) morning. By tomorrow afternoon, the tropical cyclone is forecast to decelerate as it begins to turn from northwestward to northeastward. On the forecast track, the center of QUEENIE will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Sunday (27 September) afternoon and Monday (28 September) early morning. Outside the PAR, QUEENIE will accelerate as it heads northeast. This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday.
