NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA A ridge of high pressure has moved into the southwestern parts of the Territory which will persist over southern parts and will maintain mostly dry conditions for the remainder of the week. Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle will move into the Gulf of Carpentaria late this week. A separate flood watch will be issued for parts of the Top End for possible flooding associated with Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle. Catchments in the Flood Watch area are wet from recent rainfall. No further significant forecast rainfall is expected across the flood watch area. Flooding in low lying areas and elevated river and creek levels are expected to continue easing across the flood watch area. Areas of flooding may continue to adversely affect road conditions and some communities and homesteads may remain isolated for some time. Check road conditions before travelling.
