ประเทศไทยมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง โดยมีฝนตกหนักมากบางพื้นที่ในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล และภาคตะวันออก บริเวณจังหวัดนครนายก ปราจีนบุรี ชลบุรี ระยอง จันทบุรี และตราด เนื่องจากร่องมรสุมพาดผ่านภาคเหนือตอนล่าง ภาคกลางตอนบน และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ประกอบกับมรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้กำลังปานกลางยังคงพัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ภาคใต้ และอ่าวไทย สำหรับคลื่นลมบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีกำลังปานกลาง โดยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ส่วนทะเลอันดามันตอนล่าง และอ่าวไทยตอนบนมีคลื่นสูง 1-2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร อนึ่ง พายุไต้ฝุ่น “ตาปะฮ์” (TAPAH) บริเวณมณฑลกวางตุ้ง ประเทศจีนได้ลดกำลังลงเป็นพายุโซนร้อนกำลังแรงแล้ว โดยพายุนี้ไม่ส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อลักษณะอากาศของประเทศไทย
ขอให้ประชาชนในบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังอันตรายจากฝนตกหนักถึงหนักมากและฝนที่ตกสะสม ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมขังหรือน้ำรอการระบาย โดยเฉพาะในเขตชุมชนเมือง เช่น กรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล รวมทั้งอาจเกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลันและน้ำป่าไหลหลาก โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ลาดเชิงเขาใกล้ทางน้ำไหลผ่านและพื้นที่ลุ่ม ขอให้ชาวเรือเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวังและหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง
The monsoon through lies across the lower North, the upper Central and the Norhtheast regions while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf with isolated heavy rain in the country while very heavy rain are likely in Bangkok and vicinity and the East. The moderated wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In additon, typhoon “TAPAH” over Guangdong, China has down grade to the severe tropical storm. It present no direct effect to Thailand’s weather.
People in thease areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
