DAMAGING WINDS averaging 80 to 90 km/h with peak gusts up to 110 km/h are likely over alpine areas above 1900 metres, with BLIZZARDS also possible. Damaging winds and blizzard conditions are forecast to persist through to early Tuesday morning, although conditions may ease for a period during Monday morning. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service recommends that back country travel be postponed until conditions improve. Locations which may be affected include Thredbo Top Station. Sustained winds of 87 km/h were observed at Thredbo Top Station at 3:00 pm.
