  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes, Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington.

  • WHEN: Through Sunday afternoon.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are already well out of banks with additional heavy rain expected.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • A lull in heavy rain is expected through this evening; however, some scattered showers/storms are possible this afternoon which may contribute to the ongoing flooding. The next round of heavy rainfall is expected late tonight into Sunday. An additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches possible in the watch area.
