  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Grimes, Montgomery, Walker and Waller.

  • WHEN: Until 930 AM CDT.

  • IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 631 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Conroe, Willis, Panorama Village, Cut And Shoot, New Waverly, Montgomery, Todd Mission, Lake Conroe Dam, Dobbin, Dacus, Plantersville and Richards.

    • Another round of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms is expected to develop over Southeast Texas tonight once again. Grounds are very saturated, so any additional rainfall will be slow to drain. This can more easily lead to street flooding and additional rises on area rivers, creeks and streams. Additional rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches can be expected. Isolated higher amounts will be possible.
