  • WHAT: Flash Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

  • WHERE: Portions of Iowa, including the following counties, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek and southeast Minnesota, including the following counties, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona.

  • WHEN: Through this evening.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will continue today. Some heavy rainfall has already occurred over parts of Dodge and Mower counties in southeast Minnesota near a stationary boundary. Additional rainfall, some heavy is forecast to occur with storms this morning as deeper moisture and a storm system approaches the area. More rain overspreads the area again this afternoon as the storm system moves through. Due to storms repeating over the same areas, locally heavy rain and flash flooding could occur.
