“PAOLO” IS NOW MOVING TOWARDS SOUTHERN CHINA. Location of eye/center : The center of Severe Tropical Storm PAOLO was estimated based on all available data at at 440 km West of Sinait, Ilocos Sur (18.1, 116.3). Strength : Maximum winds of 110 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 135 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move West Northwestward at 20 kph Forecast position : Oct 04, 2025 08:00 PM - 775 km West of Calayan, Cagayan (OUTSIDE PAR) Oct 05, 2025 08:00 AM - 1,065 km West of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) Oct 05, 2025 08:00 PM - 1,195 km West Northwest of Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Severe Winds The outer rain bands of PAOLO will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today: Batanes, northern portion of mainland Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Zambales, and Bataan. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to moderate to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 3.0 m: The seaboard of Ilocos Region. Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Zambales. Up to 2.0 m: The seaboards of mainland Cagayan, Isabela, and Bataan. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK PAOLO will continue moving west northwestward towards southern China. While moving over the West Philippine Sea, PAOLO may re-intensify into a typhoon today.

Under present weather conditions, At 3:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm "PAOLO" {MATMO} was estimated based on all available data at 200 km West of Sinait, Ilocos Sur (17.9°N, 118.1°E), with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 135 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 20 km/h. The 12-hour rainfall forecast is light rains. WATERCOURSES NO LONGER TO BE AFFECTED : + **Antique** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Sibalom, Ipayo, Cagaranan, Palawan, Cairauan, Dalanas and Tibiao. + **Aklan** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Ibajay, Aklan and Jalo. + **Capiz** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Panay, Mambusao, Panay Malinao, Alingon and Balantian. + **Iloilo** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Pinantan, Barotac, Akalaygan, Jalaud, Jalano, Jagdong, Jalaur, Lamunan, Jaro-Aganan, Sibalom and Guimbal. + **Guimaras** - All rivers and its tributaries + **Negros Occidental** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Malogo, Sicaba, Grande, Himogaan, Danao, Upper Tabanan, Sipalay and Lower Ilog.
