By tomorrow afternoon, the tropical cyclone is forecast to decelerate as it begins to turn from north northwestward to north northeastward. On the forecast track, the center of QUEENIE will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Sunday (27 September) afternoon or evening. Outside the PAR, QUEENIE will accelerate as it moves northeastward away from the country. This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday.
