  • WHAT: Very warm and humid daytime conditions with high temperatures between 80 and 86 common. Warm overnight conditions will bring less relief than usual.

  • WHERE: Los Angeles County Beaches, Malibu Coast, Palos Verdes Hills, and Ventura County Beaches.

  • WHEN: Until 8 PM PDT Monday.

  • IMPACTS: There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness, especially for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

  • WHERE: Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches.

  • WHEN: Through Sunday evening.

  • IMPACTS: There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.

Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
