A tropical cyclone will affect the the locality. Winds of 62 kph up to 88 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours. “INDAY” WEAKENS FURTHER AS IT ACCELERATES NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE SEA EAST OF BATANES. Location of eye/center : The center of Typhoon INDAY was estimated based on all available data at at 620 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.3, 127.9). Strength : Maximum winds of 150 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 185 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move Northwestward at 20 kph Forecast position : Jul 10, 2026 02:00 PM - 515 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes Jul 11, 2026 02:00 AM - 445 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes Jul 11, 2026 02:00 PM - 550 km North of Itbayat, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 12, 2026 02:00 AM - 785 km North Northwest of Itbayat, Batanes or in the vicinity of Zhejiang, China (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Refer to Weather Advisory No. 15 issued at 5:00 AM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to TC INDAY and the Southwest Monsoon. Severe Winds The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction. Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 2. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1. The enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of Typhoon INDAY will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today and tomorrow (11 July): Most of the country. Sunday (12 July): Most of Luzon, most of Visayas, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and Davao Oriental HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS A Gale Warning is in effect over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon. For more details, refer to Gale Warning No. 6 issued at 5:00 AM today. 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 7.0 m: The northern and eastern seaboards of Batanes. Up to 6.0 m: The seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the northeastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan; the remaining seaboards of Batanes. Up to 5.0 m: The remaining seaboards of mainland Cagayan; the seaboards of Isabela. Up to 4.5 m: The seaboards of Aurora and Camarines Norte; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands and Catanduanes; the northern seaboards of Ilocos Norte and Camarines Sur. Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside. Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 4.0 m: The northern seaboards of mainland Quezon; the seaboards of Northern Samar; the eastern seaboards of Albay, Sorsogon, and Eastern Samar. Up to 3.5 m: The eastern seaboards of Dinagat Islands, Bucas Grande-Siargao Islands, and Surigao del Sur; the eastern and southern seaboards of Davao Oriental; the remaining seaboards of Catanduanes and Camarines Sur; the western seaboard of Ilocos Norte. Up to 3.0 m: The seaboards of Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Caluya Islands, and Kalayaan Islands; the western seaboards of Bataan, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Islands, and Calamian Islands; the southern seaboard of Quezon; the southern and eastern seaboards of Oriental Mindoro. Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced of operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Cuyo Islands, Cagayancillo Islands, Antique, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, and Zambales; the western seaboards of Cavite, Batangas, and Negros Occidental; the southern seaboards of Iloilo and Guimaras; the remaining seaboards of Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar. Up to 2.0 m: The remaining seaboards of Visayas, Southern Luzon, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands; the seaboards of Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, and Zamboanga del Norte; the southern seaboards of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Davao Occidental. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. INDAY is forecast to generally move northwestward while remaining over the Philippine Sea and may pass closest to Extreme Northern Luzon between tonight and tomorrow (11 July) morning. Afterwards, INDAY will move toward the southern islands of Japan and may make landfall or pass close over the northern coast of Taiwan. It will then exit the PAR by tomorrow morning or afternoon and make landfall over the eastern coast of mainland China by tomorrow evening or Sunday (12 July) early morning. INDAY is forecast to remain as a typhoon until it exits the PAR. It will then weaken into a severe tropical storm after moving further inland over mainland China.
