On May 28, 2024, the Chengmai County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow lightning warning signal: from 08:00 to 20:00, there may be lightning activities in Qiaotou Town, Laocheng Town, Dafeng Town, Fushan Town, Jinjiang Town, Yongfa Town, Ruixi Town, Zhongxing Town, Wenru Town, Jiale Town, and Renxing Town in our county. It is recommended that relevant units and personnel take preventive measures.
1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out lightning and wind protection work in accordance with their responsibilities; 2. Pay close attention to the weather and try to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible; 3. Secure buildings such as doors, windows, hoardings, sheds, and temporary structures that are easily moved by wind. Personnel should leave the temporary structures as soon as possible and properly place outdoor items that are susceptible to thunderstorms and strong winds.
