Multiple rounds of heavy rain are possible through Thursday night as an influx of moisture arrives from the remnants of a tropical disturbance. This will coincide with an approaching upper level low pressure system and an associated frontal boundary. High precipitable water values will support efficient rainfall production with this activity. Model guidance suggests heavy rain and thunderstorms capable of producing rainfall totals in the 2 to 4 inch range across the watch area. Locally higher amounts of 8+ inches can occur.
