At 1244 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Jupiter. The thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.

  • WHAT: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Palm Beach.

  • WHEN: Until 315 PM EDT.

  • IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, Tequesta, Juno Beach, North Palm Beach, Lake Park, Juno Ridge, Fau North Campus, Limestone Creek and Philo Farms.
