At 1209 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

While 1 to 2 inches is forecast on average, the flooding threat is more from any storms that might sit or repeat over the same areas,where 2 to 3 times that average amount may be enhanced locally, leading to flood issues.
