  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

  • WHERE: All of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky.

  • WHEN: From 1 PM CDT /2 PM EDT/ this afternoon through late Saturday night.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • Repeat rounds of thunderstorms over the next several days will increase the threat for flooding. While 1 to 2 inches is forecast on average, the flooding threat is more from any storms that might sit or repeat over the same areas,where 2 to 3 times that average amount may be enhanced locally, leading to flood issues.
