Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

WHERE,Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN,400 PM Saturday July 18 to 400 PM Sunday July 19

IMPACTS,Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Hot and sunny weather will allow ozone to reach levels that are Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups on Saturday and Sunday. The highest concentrations are most likely in western portions of the northern Colorado Front Range region. For Colorado air quality conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit: https://www.colorado.gov/airquality/colorado_summary.aspx If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026. Colorado is also addressing ozone pollution through state policies.
