  • WHAT: Afternoon temperatures will be near or exceed 100 degrees with overnight temperatures dipping to between 65 to 70, providing little relief.

  • WHERE: Portions of panhandle Nebraska and east central and southeast Wyoming.

  • WHEN: Until midnight MDT Wednesday Night.

  • IMPACTS: Hot temperatures and poor hydration may cause heat illnesses or injuries.

Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

  • AFFECTED AREA: Fire weather zones 417, 418, 423, and 430 through 434.

  • WIND: South 10 to 15 mph gusting up to 35 mph

  • HUMIDITY: Between 10 and 15 percent

  • IMPACTS: any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
