South Fork Ninnescah River near Pratt affecting Pratt County.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring.

  • WHERE: South Fork Ninnescah River near Pratt.

  • WHEN: Until late tonight.

  • IMPACTS: At 9.0 feet, Expect overflow of banks. Stream overflows narrowly on the left bank and more broadly on the right bank. Stream is approximately 260 ft wide at this stage.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 2:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 9.4 feet.
    • Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:00 AM CDT Friday was 9.5 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to fall below flood stage early this morning and continue falling to 3.4 feet early Monday morning.
    • Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
    • Flood History: This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.3 feet on 08/17/2010.
