Severe heatwave conditions are expected to affect South Australia from Friday 30 January 2026 to Saturday 31 January 2026
Maximum temperatures broadly in the mid thirties to mid forties on Saturday, decreasing significantly on Sunday. Overnight minimum temperatures Saturday night grading from the high twenties over northern parts to the mid teens over southern parts, decreasing throughout for Sunday night. Severe heatwave conditions will ease by Sunday as a milder southwest to southerly flow extends across the state. Locations likely to be impacted include Hawker, Jamestown, Leigh Creek, Moomba, Marree, Oodnadatta, Renmark and Roxby Downs.
