WARNING of strong winds exceeding 40km/hr. and large ocean waves exceeding 2m has been issued for some areas along the Northern coast of Indian ocean(Dar es salaam, Pwani(Mafia isles), Tanga regions together with Unguja and Pemba isles). Likelihood: HIGH Impact: MEDIUM Impacts expected: Marine activities impact, some activities cancelled and localized damage to marine infrastructure.
The Residents of high risk areas are advised TO TAKE preventive measures. TMA will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates when necessary.
