ADDITIONAL AREAS OF MAJOR FLOODING LIKELY ACROSS PARTS OF THE TOP END FROM SUNDAY Heavy rain from Tropical Cyclone Narelle fell across eastern parts of the Top End from Saturday night into Sunday. Narelle is expected to move west across the Top End on Sunday, bringing widespread heavy and, in some areas, intense rainfall through Sunday and into Monday. This rain is likely to cause both new and renewed flooding. Catchments are wet to saturated across the Top End, and rivers and creeks will respond rapidly to heavy rainfall. River and creek level rises are likely and additional areas of minor to major flooding may develop from Sunday morning. Roads may be affected, and some communities may become isolated.
