  • Special Marine Warning for, Biscayne Bay, Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM, Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20 NM, Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas, Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM,

  • Until 530 PM EDT.

  • At 356 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Surfside, moving east at 10 knots.

HAZARD,Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail.

IMPACT,Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

    • At 300 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
