Maximum temperatures in the mid thirties to low forties with overnight minimum temperatures in the high teens to low twenties for the Peninsula, North Tropical Coast, Herbet and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and Whitsundays, and Capricornia districts. Severe heatwave conditions will contract to the far north of the state early next week, with a milder southerly change through the southern and central parts of Queensland. Locations likely to be impacted include Barcaldine, Clermont, Hughenden, Moranbah and Richmond.
