Weather warnings enhanced – with email!

The Weather warnings are now displayed on an extra page, with additional text and maps and ... yes ... email service - free of charge!

In November 2021, we introduced our new Weather warning functionalities. Further enhancements now make the display one of the most comprehensive publicly available, including:

1) The Weather warning subpage: Here you will find all weather warning information, summarised neatly in one overview, with the text explanation of the warning (see illustration below).

It includes the actual Weather warning, the area and period for which it is valid, the official explanation, instructions for the affected populace, and information about the Weather warning source - the meteorological agency that published it, update time, and more.

2) Warning Maps: On the same page, a large interactive map shows the particular warnings for the surrounding areas. Clicking on each warning will open a small info box where the description of the warning can be found (see below.)

3) Warning emails: if you wish to stay up to date at all times, you can subscribe to either daily weather forecasts or daily Weather warning updates directly on this page, in the bottom section, via meteoMail (see below). This unique function keeps you actively up-to-date.

4) Weather warnings also remain on our main page, i.e. 7-Day Weather, above the meteogram section (see below). Clicking on them will take you to the Weather warning subpage described above.

5) On top of that, you can view all Weather warnings in our interactive dynamic weather map interface (see below). The user interface here is similar to the map you will find on our Weather warnings subpage.

6) Other technical improvements: meteoblue does not issue own Weather warnings (as published in our November news). We collect the warnings via a feed from weather agencies (both national and international), merge, and publish them. Another major step forward is the substantial increase in the number of meteorological source agencies in our data feed - currently 111 (as compared with 80 in November), and it is expected to grow further.

We believe that our Weather warnings will have a positive impact on our users' safety and well-being. As always, we welcome your feedback!

I'm searching for the depth of snow forecast on the slopes of Poiana Brasov (Postavaru Mountain), for the end of March - the beginning of April. Nothing found!
