Smart City Expo Barcelona 2024

We presented our City Climate Services at the world’s largest urban innovation event in Barcelona.

The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is one of the most important global events for urban innovation, sustainability, and the future of cities. It was held in Barcelona from 05th to 07th of November with 1’150 exhibitors. meteoblue shared a booth with our partner ui! to showcase our joint products on climate adaptation and smart city dashboard solutions.

At the booth, we met with many customers and users to discuss the latest developments and market views. We also spoke to potential customers, who are keen to implement climate change adaptation measures for their city. These fruitful exchanges and insights are essential for further developing our services.

At our booth, we demonstrated our unique Urban Heat Maps and Urban Wind Maps, which are freely available on our website. These hyperlocal data, with 2 m resolution for wind, and 10 m resolution for temperature, is also used as input for our smart digital solutions for cities, such as:

  • Heat wave management for accurate heat monitoring and notification based on hyper-local simulations
  • IoT measurement networks for City Climate Monitoring
  • Climate adaptation based on microclimate data to select the most appropriate adaptation strategy

We thank the more than 25 000 attendees for their participation, and we look forward to using the new insight to further develop our city climate services.
