Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
At 445 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms 15 miles northwest of Clarks, or 14 miles northwest of Columbia, moving southwest at 10 mph.
HAZARD,Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

IMPACT,Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include, Ruston, Grambling, Jonesboro, Columbia, Jena, Arcadia, Olla, Clarks, Grayson, Midway, Urania, Choudrant, Simsboro, Chatham, Hodge, North Hodge, Vienna and Tullos.
