Mud Creek Near Jacksonville affecting Smith, Rusk, Cherokee and Nacogdoches Counties.

For the Mud Creek,including Jacksonville,Minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Mud Creek near Jacksonville.

  • WHEN: Until early Sunday morning.

  • IMPACTS: At 9.0 feet, Expect lowland flooding of timber resources along with some farmland.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.2 feet.
    • Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 10.1 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 7.5 feet Wednesday evening.
    • Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
    • Flood History: This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.1 feet on 05/12/1968.
